ZLoth 4 Posted March 2, 2024 Posted March 2, 2024 I am utilizing Emby 4.8.1.0 on a TrueNAS instance. This issue also occurred in the 4.9.0.x betas. When creating a collection, it appears that Emby is pulling media assets for movies in an attempt to auto-match the title to the appropriate media. This has caused some... inappropriate matches. Some examples include: "Alcatraz (GraphicAudio)" pulled the information from TheMovieDB 43063 - Half Past Dead Collection which does NOT match the GraphicAudio book series "The Black Mask" pulled information from TheMovieDB 205860 - The Black Mask Collection which does NOT match the Audible Series of old detective stories "Deathstalker (GraphicAudio)" pulled information from TheMovieDB 48655-Deathstalker Collection which does NOT match the GraphicAudio book series "Roger Rabbit" pulled information from TheMovieDB 1041406-Roger Rabbit Collection which only matches the Audible Series of books in character only While I realize that Audiobooks can be "Movies For Your Mind", these are not the "movie matches" I'm looking for.
Happy2Play 9781 Posted March 2, 2024 Posted March 2, 2024 Yes from a creating a collection standpoint Emby assumes Collections are movies as that is the library metadata provider. And search/matching TMDB is not that great as Emby with settle for the first api item return. Would need to see the server log for when this happened though. @Lukethere really is no way around this custom collection for a non video standpoint is there?
