thanks for your advice, but something wrong with ver.4.8.1,
for example, it can not recognized Season 8 of [The Blacklist] series as following images.

I don’t believe that will be possible. Try updating to 4.8.3 and see if that resolves your issues. If not, please post some logs and examples and I’m sure we can get it working.

Hi @ngmdatcan you please describe your episodes issue in more detail? In your second screenshot, what is the issue there?

thanks for your support.
the second image mean, version 4.8.1 did not recognize even though the season 8 have the contents for each single episode with previous metadata.
I updated to version 4.8.3, then scanning [TV Show] contents now.
Hope that It will be fine.

Don't really understand your folder structure as to where all the seasons for the show are.

Is that supposed to represent all episodes are in \tv\2020\the blacklist?

Yes there is a TV series scanning fix in 4.8.3 related to numbers in folder names, so please let us know if this helps.

I think the problem is your file naming. You have a dash in the season 8 episode names. As per the naming conventions, anything after the last dash, up to the extension is a version of the file, hence Emby can’t determine the season/episode number as it’s being treated as a version, not a season/episode

https://emby.media/support/articles/TV-Naming.html#multi-version-episodes

i would review your folder/file naming against the naming conventions guide. I’m not sure that group seasons by year is going to be the most manageable or reliable approach. It probably works, but I’m not sure that it is the approach that library scanning is designed around, so more issues might be in your future.

thanks for all advice,
At this time, my TV show's folder structure is as depicted in the following image.
This effectively manages storage by organizing it based on each year (from 1973 to 2024),
which is mounted on a NAS storage service, etc.
I believe the season number folder is redundant because the season number is based on
the year number in the movie database. With this structure, everything was fine until version 4.8.1.

Just see the potential for misidentification with then scattered like this.

What exactly is the problem in Emby?

Season 8 is not present in Show.  Can only guess it was misidentified as it would appear each season is in a different year folder structure.

So he has season 8 but it's not showing up?

OP has 10 seasons of the show in 10 different locations each season by year.  So I can only guess misidentified/not merging.

There should be tvshow.nfo in here can you post it.  Or verify it is correct.

I still suspect the problem is the dash in the file name before the season/episode

@SamESNot sure as it tests fine. But am not setup with every season in different year folders.

Thank you for your support. After updating to version 4.8.3 and rescanning all [TV Show] contents,
I believe the metadata has been corrected. Season 8 has been recognized with all episodes displayed correctly.

The .info file for S0801 has been updated; however, I'm not sure it contains the same information you wanted to see.
