SystemAdmin 0 Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 Ever had to rename an entire series worth of file to the proper format? It sucks... It's time consuming.... Does anyone else have use for something like this? Double clicking a folder will go into that sub-directory. Single clicking highlights a file, click multiple files will highlight multiple files. Any suggestions? Was it worth the time?
Luke 42518 Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 Hi, I've heard the name auto renamer so I think that might be a popular one. 1
Solution TMCsw 268 Posted March 2, 2024 Solution Posted March 2, 2024 https://www.filebot.net/ ($6.00US/year) worth it! 1
SystemAdmin 0 Posted March 3, 2024 Author Posted March 3, 2024 Thanks for the input! Mine pales in comparison but it's operation and results are achieved simply and quickly... I'll release it... Thanks again..
jiggity 35 Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 (edited) I can see that being useful. Especially the access to the meta libraries I usually manually rename files or use bulk rename utility Edited March 3, 2024 by jiggity
Xianoms 0 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Have you tried tools like FileBot or Advanced Renamer? Both let you click through folders quickly and rename whole seasons in one go. I’m curious what workflow you were hoping for — more like a built‑in browser, or a drag‑and‑drop list you can edit before applying changes?
Xianoms 0 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Well, I’ve sped up big renaming jobs by using https://renamer.io since it lets me apply rules like prefixes, numbering, and case changes in one go and preview everything before I commit. I like that it handles folders smoothly, so jumping in and out of seasons is quick, and the undo button has saved me more than once. It’s been a solid fix for cleaning up full series without the usual slog.
