HDR tone mapping

The HDR issue on the web has improved a lot. After several playback, the color mapping is close to normal. Thanks to the efforts of the engineers. The mapping problem can be improved by restarting the server, and it will appear again after a period of time. I accidentally found that when the color mapping is abnormal, clicking the volume and caption adjustment buttons on the web playback interface can restore the color mapping to normal. Meanwhile, I tried to play the same video on the Emby Theater client, and there was no problem at all. Hope the engineers can continue to work hard, I think the HDR issue on the web is going to be solved soon.

ps: Web player client  were chrome 121.0.6167.189 and   edge 122.0.2365.52.Server was  4.8.1.0 on win10 22H2

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

Why does an HDR mapping error occur when playing in a browser? When you click the control bar to pop up the menu, the color can be restored to normal, but it reappears once normal playback is restored. This problem does not occur when playing in emby theater.

Hi, what error are you referring to? Where do you see an error message?
