mannyrothman 10 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 (edited) On Emby on iOS, the HDR film plays very green. But on Infuse, when connected to Emby, the file plays correctly in black and white. I attached all screenshots. The green screenshot is from Emby, and the black and white screenshot it from Infuse. On Emby on the Apple TV, it is black and white, but the highlights are strangely pinkish and greenish. Playing the same file on Infuse on the Apple TV yields perfect results. Luke 42077 Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Hi, we'll take a look at this. Thanks for reporting. 1
mannyrothman 10 Posted May 21, 2024 Author Posted May 21, 2024 Hi @Lukeis there an update with this? All my HDR movies are tinted green on Emby. Infuse does not have this issue.
Kyrunner 86 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Any update on this request I’m seeing the same issue on iPad Pro
RanmaCanada 494 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 From a user's perspective, you should honestly just be using Infuse. From a server admin's perspective, you should tell your Apple TV clients to either get Infuse or switch to Android. I know it's not what people want to read, but seriously, the dev team has been fighting with Apple TV since its inception, and they have been losing the war because of how difficult a battle the Apple TV is to work with.

I would say it's resources. Plex has tens of millions of dollars and over 100 paid staff members. InFuse also has a large staff base and has far more experience as they've been active with Apple products since 2007 (the owner is also relatively wealthy as they are an angel investor in projects). Put it this way, even Jellyfin dropped their development of the Apple TV app because of how difficult it is to work with. If the "F you give me my free S(*^*&^" community has decided it's not worth the effort to deal with, that tells you just how bad it is.
bhestad 0 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Hi there, is there any update to this? It’s still an issue on emby with all of my Apple devices. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV.
