From a 4.7 install? Admittedly this is not what we looked at in our upgrade testing. Our upgrade testing was primarily on upgrading 4.7 installs to 4.8, not moving 4.7 files into a 4.8 installation. 

So I honestly don't know what to expect. I think you will want to look over everything after doing that.

I ran into some issues using the old backup of the config files and ended up just configuring everything by hand.  System is working great now under 4.8.1.
