too many media files have disappeard

Okay, I renamed all the files, and got them back.  That is really annoying.

Deleted the word "part" and went back to the old E01 E02 E03...

It is really quite important to follow the correct naming conventions or things WILL be miss identified.

Things get identified as the incorrect title, or get combined with other titles when they shouldn't be.

I'd imagine that's where some of the files you thought were deleted went: identified as something else, thus not displayed as you'd expect in emby. How exactly emby matches file names to media titles has changed with the recent 4.8 release.
