date does not show in guide if Channel Display = both

Right it makes the column smaller. There is just no room for it.

Well, you can make the column large just as when Channel Display != both.  What's the reason for scrunching it?

When the column is wide, some users complain about that. When you're not showing both, the extra width becomes a necessity in order to fit everything on one line and avoid the two line display. So in that situation, nobody really questions it.

But you can't fit an image, title and number all on one line without running into text truncation, so then we do the two line display.

Maybe we can make it a little wider.

Yeah, it was an exaggeration.  I'm just saying it can be wider, if you choose, so the room can be made, like it is otherwise, so nothing lost.

Maybe there is another place to put the day, just thinking for another solution.
