After restarting the server, it will continue to display for 1-2 minut

After restarting, it will be updated to 4.8.1, but the update is not successful. It keeps getting stuck on this page for 1-2 minutes and will not jump to the homepage. When opening the website in a new window, it will display "reject connection". If not restarted, everything is normal!

Hi there, what version are you upgrading from?

Posted

4.7.14, the final version of 4.7, restarting it will automatically update it, and then it cannot be restarted, unable to update!

OK can you try shutting down the server, and then installing the latest version from our website on top of your existing version? Please see if that helps. Thanks.

HI, did you try what I suggested above?

我也尝试过,但是安装后还是无法启动。打开主页会拒绝连接!4.7.14版本重启就没问题了!

问题是,只要恢复到4.7.14,就会自动更新到4.8.1,无法访问最新版本!

Could it be due to the port? We have changed the port on our end, but even if we change it back to the default port, we cannot access it!

This is very troublesome, it won't open after restarting

What does that mean?  But migrating from 4.7 to 4.8 is not instant.

The main issue is that our media library files are very large, and after restarting, they cannot be started, which is very troublesome!

Still trying to figure out the issue here.  Is it server won't update or long time for libraries to display?  Long time to access server?

Probably need to see server logs.

I'm not sure, but after waiting for a long time, I still refused to connect and couldn't open it. Luke tried all his methods, but it didn't work and still couldn't open it!

Can you post a server log for this.

Can you set it to not update to version 4.8.1 after rebooting? If it is cancelled in the background, it will still be updated to the latest version. Restart!

Sort of as you just disable auto update but by the time you get there at startup it is already downloaded and has to be deleted from update folder

After that you will just a button on dashboard that you never click.

But eventually you will have to update.

Thank you, yes, so how can we solve this problem? The update won't start, and not updating won't work, which is very troublesome!

And that will require the logs for when you tried to update.  Won't start does not really mean anything without context of errors.

你好,你尝试过我上面的建议吗?

I don't know how to solve this. Even if I restart, I won't be able to do it. What should we do?

The database is corrupt and will most likely need deleted/renamed/moved but follow the steps in the kb.

The method you provided has been tried several times but has not been successful. The library file is too large, over 1GB. I tried it before, but it hasn't been fixed for half a month! Why is it normal before restarting, but this problem occurs after restarting!

You should be able to go to  C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\data\library.db and do whatever you want assuming you are the administrator of the computer.  If you have issues, then you may have a bigger issue then just Emby.
