i would use emby full time but not having ability to have subtitles below black bars is a deal breaker for me 

I have installed the kodi for emby add-on (non-beta version) and it shows the subtitles below black bar but for some reason its performance is not as good as using emby android tv app directly (I also prefer the emby interface over kodi)
