Emby Theater on Steam Deck

I recently installed Emby Theatre on my Steam deck. When trying to download movies for offline play the only options are to download to the internal storage. I only have the 64gb model so that options not ideal. Any help is greatly appreciated.

@Stearalkonium1do u have the external mounted? Or auto-mount setup? I'm just thinking it might be an OS level issue not an Emby issue.

This seems to be a short but detailed vid how to set up auto mount on the SteamOS distro if you haven't done so yet.

To mount it so u can access the external with Emby you probably only need to follow the first 1:40. After that it shows setting it up with steam itself.

I don't personally have a steam deck but i do use Linux so hopefully this helps. Maybe if someone else has a steam deck they could be of better help but i'd say make sure you have the external drive mounted first.

Hopefully steam can make auto mounting drives more user-friendly in the future.
