muppet4k 10 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Hi, I found in the documentation to get lyrics with : MediaHuman Lyrics Finder Is that enough that the lyric text is in the music mp3 tag? Or how is it working? Thanks you
beckfield 173 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 In my experience, Emby doesn't seem to find the lyric if it is embedded in the mp3 tag, but it works perfectly if you export the lyric to a txt file. The txt file must be in the same folder as the mp3 file, and must be named identically, aside from the extension. Lyrics Finder will do all that for you when you select the "Export Lyrics to TXT file" command. One thing about MediaHuman Lyrics Finder that I found disconcerting and unwelcome: As soon as it finds the lyrics for your media, it immediately embeds the lyrics in the media files without telling you or asking for confirmation. There's no option in the app to change that behavior. I filed an issue with MediaHuman, but they don't seem to think my complaint is reasonable (I disagree). I get around this by temporarily making my media files read-only before running Lyrics Finder, so the app is not allowed to modify the files. Then I can export lyrics to txt files without having them embedded in the media files.
Luke 42080 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Hi, lyrics are supported both as external .lrc as well as embedded within the audio files. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
