I'll put it on the list for 11.X, however, there is an option for delayed start in plugins config menu. -> advanced -> Startup delay

Yes I know, but then there is always the delay. Did you change anything because the last years this was not a problem?

I can't see any addon settings that I changed from default other than the Fancy popup box.

It looks like development on the plugin has stopped, but someone has created a fork of it and is making updates.  Seems to be working if you want to try it.

What is the proper way to install this now? The core module first, get everything set up and then add the original 3 plugins? I'm trying to figure this out as a few people on other forums have been asking too.... so I figured I'd touch base and see if I can help get it set up for them. I'm stuck on Emby Server busy: Sync in progress

Core module (service), yes. Others are optional. -> For new installations

If you upgrade from 9.X simply install the video module and the service module (core module in 10.X) will be installed automatically as a dependency.

If you only installed the 10.X service module without updating the video module, there will be a collision. (In 9.x, the video module is the core module).

Actually there are no manual adjustments required, if the plugin is updated from Emby's Kodi repository.

 

"Emby Server busy: Sync in progress" sound the Emby server is really busy with some tasks -> scanning for example.

You can also send me a kodi.log if you think there is a bug.

installed it many thanks! but still no pop up... maybe a skin helper or one of these other addon are missing / corrupted who knows.. I will survive without it...

Do not access the configuration settings via video helper plugin. It will wipe the settings on next Kodi start when settings are changed and saved this way.

I'll downgrade the video helper in the repos, so this is no longer possible.

It's a combination between Kodi (player) and Emby server (stream source). The plugin is just the man in the middle.

If you think it's a sync issue, let me know.

Does the Emby app play DTS for that specific file? I'm assuming what @quickmicis saying that it is dependent on the kodi settings, the server settings and the file itself on the Emby server.

I still have the problem with the local trailer on the home menu widget. Opens in full screen and stops (works with YouTube trailer) ??

Trailer work well on the detail of movie

Hi all, is there a possibility to trigger the embyserver library updates with the Kodi emby next gen add on. To what reason ever the realtime controll on my emby server does not work and I always have go to emby, scheduled task and execute library update manual.

In KODi iI use the add-on Osmosis where you can add streams from streaming Portals like Netflix Disney Amazon Prime to a library.  They will be added as movies and TV series to the library. Works perfect beside the mentioned manual update.
