Hello, quickmic, I am very sorry to bother you again. I have encountered a difficult problem and hope to get your answer. When I use the plug-in to play movies, I can adjust the playback progress and fast forward and rewind by dragging the progress bar. However, when I play TV series, I cannot achieve this function when any episode is playing. The dragging progress bar has no response. I look forward to your answer. Thank you.

Updated! New setting disabled. I still am getting notifications of library updates (including playlists) being refreshed. I get other notifications as well. I really want all notifications disabled if possible. Thanks!

Technical detail, it's not a notification, it's a progress bar. I put that on the list for 11.X, but I'll not add this in 10.X.

Must be changed on many spots in the code.

Sounds like a Kodi or skin problem, but not a plugin issue. Works fine with in my setup.

Hello, quickmic, I tried to uninstall Kodi and change different versions of Kodi, including various versions of 21 and 20.5, and did not install any skins, but the problem of not being able to fast-forward the TV series by dragging the progress bar still exists. I hope to get your reply.

Upload a video with a detailed issue description. Clicking on on progress bar adjusts the position fine on my setup.

On some of my media i am getting a "select media source" window appearing, with sometimes 2,3,4 files to chose from. There is only 1 file in each of the folders. Occurs in both Movies and TV  Shows randomly. have tried vacuming database, repairing/removing/re adding libraries and server. Happens across 2 devices (nvidia shelid 2019 pro & Fire tv max gen 2)

Ok thanks, discovered a manual fix of deleting affected movie or TV show from library, then rescanning. Then putting back into library and rescanning.

Is there a setting I need to enable in the addon so I can access content remotely? Heading away on holiday soon and plan on taking my firestick with me.

Probably reconnect to Emby server with its public address if you haven't used it in the first place.

Hello, quickmic, this is a video of a TV series I play on Kodi using the emby plug-in. Whenever I drag the progress bar to fast forward, the TV series will freeze or even jump out of the currently playing interface.

ok, understood. Anyway, not a plugin issue, seems to be a slow Emby server, a slow Kodi box, slow network connection or a combination.

Transcoding could also be a part of the problem as well as Kodi's buffer settings, or video (hardware) acceleration settings.

However, the plugin is not the player. Kodi is and the source is Emby server. Such issues must be fixed on Player/Server side.

btw, I don't think this has anything todo with TV Shows or movie content. It's most likely content based.

This is really a magical question. If it is a problem with Kodi or the emby server, why is it normal to drag and fast forward when playing a movie, but I can't fast forward when playing a TV series.

Moreover, when I did not use the Kodi plug-in but used the emby client to play TV series, the drag-fast-forward function was normal, and my Internet speed was about 80M/s.

Did you install all 4 addons?  Also, only the service one is configurable.

I just installed one called 10.1.0 from the beta repository and it supposedly installed everything else.

It works and if i use the context menu i can configure it, but in the addons menu it is greyed out.

It sounds like you only installed one then.  There are 4 addons you need to install.

video, audio, image and the service.  You can only modify the service addon.

Ya, I don't recall the reason for the change.

I think the service one has to be installed last also.  It will complain about a prerequisite not being loaded if you don't.

OK, i think i see whats happening. Apparently when you install the addon from the repository, all 4 addons get installed automatically.

Now you need to find the specific service addon so you can enter the configuration page or use the context menu to enter the configuration page.

Previously we only had only one addon.
