You need to learn yourself the basics and show some initiative. There are several postings about skinning in this forum and probably a few thousands in Kodi's forum or other forums.

If you have specific question I happy to help. Question like what skin should I use and how configure nodes (which surly would be next question) is pretty basic stuff.

Thank you for your patience, quickmic. I encountered a new problem. When adding a media library, the bottom always shows that emby is processing the update, and the progress is always 0. I hope to get a solution. Thank you.

Main issue is "2024-06-21 13:42:42.206 T:4955    error <general>: Open - Unhandled exception" and that's from Kodi's player, not from the plugin.

can that limit 1000 here somehow be related to my playback issues? 

I remember I saw that 1000 somewhere but cannot find it anymore. in my library I guess it should be higher? I have 1300 movies plus TV shows plus concerts..

Hello, quickmic, the attachment is the Kodi log. When I synchronize the media library to Kodi, the bottom left shows that emby is automatically updated, and the progress on the right is always 0%, and some media libraries have no actual content or are missing after synchronization. Looking forward to your reply.

No, totally unrelated to that matter. Also the GetDirectory error is not critical, actually "correct" in this case. It's used for multi-content selection to avoid timeouts (and image loading).

Well, your Emby server seems not to be the fastest. The kodi.log is correct and the sync was still in progress when you interrupted Kodi.

EMBY.emby.api: Throttle queries 26030 / worker_update / 25840

Guessing you haven't fully synced the metadata on your Emby server, when you triggered the Kodi sync.

This leads to metadata updates on Emby server, when the files/content was "touched" the first time (while sync) and take quite a while.

For log side, everything seems to be fine, you just have to wait longer.

Yes, and I found that when the emby server is updated, the emby server shortcut will be displayed at the bottom. Most importantly, the poster of the synchronized database on Kodi cannot be displayed normally.

With Estuary, if I go to "configure skin" > "main menu items" > "edit categories" > "Tv Shows" > "New node" (for example recordings) > "Add Path" > "Plugin..." > "Emby for kodi next gen" > "Dynamic Nodes" > I see nothing, only " link path here" , bit no dynamic nodes. Long time ago I used this way to create for example a quick access to recordings on Emby which I don't want to sync. I have been having this problem for a while (since version 9.x I think and now with 10.1.0 (3x media sources) / 10.0.34 (service) still the same).

Not a big problem, but don't know why.

Already tried full uninstall of the plugin, deleted custom nodes and reinstalled but no way.

I assume that's an issue with the "plugin.library.node.editor" not the plugin. Maybe I find a workaround, but I would suggest use a custom skin.

Yes, it could be an incompatibility between the the two addons, anyway at first (when I was on 8.x I think) it worked.

Yes I could try a custom plugin like I did in the past but actually I like Estuary very much and it is "ready to go".

Try Estuary v2 from Kodinerds repo. It looks identical and is fully configurable. I use it myself.

You could add the links to favorites, and copy the path from favorites.xml

Anyway, this is not a handy solution.

Mine auto updated yesterday (10.0.35), and now whenever my device hibernates, when I wake it, I get the Emby Server Offline notification (I've always gotten that). However suddenly the notification doesn't seem to clear out any more. So the notification just hangs out permanently until I restart Kodi.

Also, would it be possible to just disable all notifications? I seriously want zero from Emby For Kodi, but that's not possible currently.

Send me a kodi.log for review, the hanging notification is probably just a side effect of the actual problem.

I already have all 3 notification settings disabled, and I get a TON of Emby notifications still.

Settings I've disabled:

-Enable welcome message

-Enable server restart message

-Enable server progress

I'll try to reproduce the issue and get a log for you.

I can reproduce the message, because as I said, I get it every time I turn on my TV. However, the notification isn't sticking again. I'll be sure to grab a log if/when it occurs again. It's happened twice in the last 12 or so hours, but it doesn't seem to be easily reproducible.

Hi Quickmic

Just following up on a post I made on June 12th.  I now have the plugin working with Kodi and everything is looking great.  However, I am having one problem with my local trailers and the Titan Bingie Mod Skin for Kodi.  On the homepage is the spotlight section which is setup to automatically play local trailer in a small window version but instead it is playing it as full screen.  Same for a widget that I have setup on home screen via a setting called Highlight Widget, which should play the local trailer within a window but instead is playing as full screen.

I did a google search and noticed someone had similar problem in March via this post - 

 

Do I need to set up something within the plugin so that my local trailers play correctly in Kodi?  Do I need to install anything on my Emby server for it to work correctly?

Please note I have setup the plugin as Native Mode and added my movies and tv shows to Kody as EMBY:  Movies and not EMBY DYNAMIC if that helps.
