Thanks, on first sight I can see no crashes or major flaws but I see one not playable item.

Also I can see a subtitle was loaded for the none playable item. Maybe just a coincidence, but could be related.

Without a patter hard to say.

Also I see several isuues with the "script.litebox" plugin. Could be also part of the problem. Can you turn it off?

Main issue is "2024-06-21 13:42:42.206 T:4955    error <general>: Open - Unhandled exception" and that's from Kodi's player, not from the plugin.

script lite box off. no idea what it is or why I have it 

that's basically my problem with most of the addons like skin helper service or library data provider...  

subs shouldn't be a problem? I always have auto external srt for English content?

Hi guys, need help with the plugin.

Emby server 4.7.14

 

i was on v24 of the plugin for a long time and it worked well. Since kodi updated to v21 plugin started playing up.

installed latest v33 and configure server etc. reset the db, etc

 

now when I open up kodi it says ‘welcome embyuser’ but nothing syncs. My libraries are all empty.

 

any idea how to resolve the issue?

You must update your emby server to latest stable or beta.

Hello, quickmic! Thank you for the plugin you made, which has made my entertainment more convenient. I am using Kodi 21 Omega version to install the 34th version of the emby plugin, and I have selected the plugin mode. Now I have 3 questions to ask you:

1. After I synchronize the movie library of emby to Kodi, every time I open the movie folder in Kodi, the movie only shows the title, and the poster takes about 1 minute to display. Can I speed up the process?

2. What is the difference between local mode and plugin mode? Which mode should I choose?

3. I have a TV series library and a movie library in emby. After syncing to Kodi, will they be classified into the corresponding media folder of Kodi? Or will they all be placed under the movie library?

You need to elaborate. What's the movie folder you are opening. Maybe screenshot?

That's in the FAQ, short answer. Use addon mode.

I'm not sure if I follow. You are once again talking about a Kodi "folder". There is actually no such thing. Kodi has libraries same as Emby and yes, syncing an Emby's movie library will put it into Kodi's movie library.

Maybe you think the files are actually synced? That's not the case, databases are synced.

Maybe my description is inaccurate. It's not the Kodi folder, but the Kodi movie main menu bar. After I synced Emby's movie library to Kodi, I clicked Kodi's movie menu bar, and it took a long time for all the movie posters to be displayed.

Well loading time depends on connection speed to Emby server and the performance of your box. However, once loaded Kodi caches the images. Also not sure what "node" you are using. Guessing that standard movie library nodes (from the main menu).

At least I see you use a wallinfo view. This is not the best performance wise (also not Kodi default). I would suggest you use a list view.

Beside that, hard to say what makes it slow.

I attached a video and removed all cached artwork before that to make it comparable. As mentioned, once cached, it's much faster.

You could also trigger a full artwork cache in plugin's menu, but this might take a lot of space on your "hdd".

but gee, this skip intro business is so patchy in all versions. one minute it is working, then it isn't. change the version , it works, then it doesn't.

 

posted about it before, but it seems to never just resolve naturally.

 

this applies to version 8,9,10 and maybe even prior to that.

That depends, on your Emby library type. Why not simply try it out.

Well. I don't have any issues on the radar. Works fine on my setup. If you want it reviewed, you must perform several tests.

1. Are intros correct on emby

2. are intros synced to Kodi via realtime-sync

3. are intros synced to Kodi via startup syncs

4. if not, repair sync libs and check again

5. If you using native mode, repeat the test in addon mode.

All this needs to be tested. Finally send me a kodi debug log with the info collected. Perfect would be instructions for a test case.

As you say it's random, not possible to fix. As mentioned, works perfect on my setup.

Sure, you can sync all or individual.

Why not use a PC and run Kodi there? Easier to test.

There is no difference between the media library and the main menu bar. The main menu bar are just nodes. I think you need to learn how Kodi works. Also I think you need a custom skin. Anyway, this is not related to the plugin. Please open a new thread for Kodi skinning help.
