Ya, you don't need that Emby plugin anymore.  

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is Refresh Boxsets with the E4K settings though.

and I libraries I update meta data for that? but in collections there is a limited context menu I cannot sync it?

you helped me a lot!! not sure I would have found that setting at least not so fast! Hopefully I will not forget for the next time

if you allow, which of the 10 different favorite widgets are you using? I've tried a lot.

is there even one I can add / remove in kodi and emby and they sync in both directions? 

edit. and somehow continue is not working for me in most cases. position or even start not transmitted to Emby. 

besides that, this addon is INCREDIBLE!!! 

don't know what I would do without it

I use the emby_inprogressmixed node for continue watching which works well.  I try not to use the dynamic nodes if at all possible.

I think you need to have Enable Web Socket for continue Watching to work and I also have Enable Sync During Playback set

thank you! we socket is on all standard.

but, I remember now, I turned off sync while playback because of the info text, could be slow.

I had some drop outs of thd atmos sound with 60gig dv movies, maybe 2 times per movie. it's possible that unchecking that solved it. not 100% sure. but playback states are also important

this coreelec ugoos amb6+ box im using now is really incredible! can only recommend now after some struggles to get kodi customized... to my knowledge the only one with dv full fel and rpg + 3d sound bitstream. the Pic is so great!!

it's syncing now while playback, I see it in dashboard. Hopefully it will stay like this

improve performance for dynamic nodes
change plugin structure (fixes content detection issues for dynamic nodes)

 

Comment:

The wizard will migrate the settings. Rollback to pevious versions will wipe the settings. A reconnection to Emby server must be done, but database will stay in sync.
If you have downloaded content files located in the plugin's addon folder, delete them BEFORE the update!
User icons are not automatically migrated from <= 10.0.24. You can simply reconnect to emby server to fix that.
Plugin configuration is now available via: Kodi addons "Services". This is now the "core" module.

How to install:
1. plugin.service.emby-next-gen-10.0.25.zip
2. plugin.video.emby-next-gen 10.1.0.zip
3. plugin.audio.emby-next-gen 10.1.0.zip
4. plugin.image.emby-next-gen 10.1.0.zip
5. restart Kodi (manually).
the plugin will now restart a second time (after migration wizard completed

Not on my setups. Tested on Android, Linux, Kodi box osmc and Windows.

Same issue for me on Windows.  Also tried a fresh install of Kodi

Seems to be working fine here.

I did have to re-add most of my dynamic nodes to Arctic Fuse skin is all.

On my tablet, I had to reset database, but it's ok now - I will report if I encounter a problem

Shouldn't be required. Actually, I only use 2 dynamic nodes embedded in my skin. Photos content, but didn't need any changes.

I've been playing around with it.  I think the issue is it crashes on exit; hence why it crashes on install, because it wants to restart.

"Crash" actually a freeze on shutdown could happen, yes. This is not unique to the new version. It should still work when you kill Kodi and restart.

Also Kodi will kill itself but can take minutes (timeouts). Actually Kodi should kill itself after 5 seconds, but this is not (always) working (Kodi bug).

I'm still looking for this issue and I made several improvements in the last versions but still haven't found all of them.

I continue my review, anyway it should not be a showstopper. A forced restart should solve the issue.

Also I'm not even sure the shutdown issues comes from e4k plugin. Also other plugins could hang on shutdown.

e.g. such things are also not good.

CServiceAddonManager: failed to stop service.xbmc.versioncheck (may have ended)

since v024 the play state and box set sync doesn't work anymore for me. I removed trakt with that upgrade or maybe a day before not sure.. 

Just FYI, nothing urgent of course!!

I have to sync boxsets after every restart and started movies are gone after restart
