So I recently have my metadata deleted, my fault and not having a backup I can use.

1) Is there a way to see outstanding fingerprinting? Like actual Episodes left? 

2) Is there a way to not fingerprint an item?

3) I have fingerprinting enabled as Scheduled Task and when new media is added.... However even on a library scan it is seeming to scan through all my files.

Backed by a cloud provider, I'm finding i'm getting API bans due to excessive downloads. Is there a way we can throttle the fingerprinting?

Limit the amount of files being processed by size? For example 10TB daily download limit but Emby can easily eat through that as the rate of episodes it pulls is super fast.

I’d say a max download limit per day would be ideal. Doesn’t happen often but if thinking migration from Plex for example this can be a pain.

a chap has written how to export the intro markers from Plex but it’s then matching those to the Emby ids per episode and then being confident it’s a match.

What I would suggest is configuring it to only run as a scheduled task.

Then, there is no option to throttle based on size, but you can configure the schedule as desired and set a time limit on it. So for example having it run on an interval every 24 hours or at a specific time like 1am and then limiting the scheduled executions to X number of hours. You can probably come up with a limit of a number of hours that keeps the amount of data transfer reasonable.

Thanks for the idea. Whats odd is the I deleted the scheduled run task within the Detect Episode Intros.

When the scan library media is run it seems to be ignoring that and fingerprinting anyhow.

Please remove the EpMetaRefresh plugin and restart the server and then re-evaluate.

I don't know exactly what the plugin does, so once it's removed it may take a couple library scans to get back to normal.

Gotcha - That is refreshing metadata for recently released episodes that may not have metadata on the source cause its just been released. I will disable and give the library a few scans to see what happens. Thanks
