Request - Change Paths Local to UNC directly in SQL without rescan.

Hi, Can anyone point me to a previous post/instructions for updating  media item paths in database directly (ideally to avoid a rescan and hopefully make emby think nothing has changed).

nothings changing..just how i want emby to reference media by path.

so far ive found/guessed

UPDATE MediaItems SET Path = replace( Path, 'H:\TV01', '\\X99\X99H\TV01' )

and changing paths in the library option.xml

but im missing something(s) as emby still wants to rescan everything, remove from database and readd.

Expected for now. There is no officially supported way to do this. 

Once it becomes supported then it will be in the UI and you won't need to mess with config files.

Thanks @Luke Does this mean this function has made it to the roadmap?

I'm really keen to make use of the new image caching feature in 4.8  that currently seems only afforded to network shares and not local media drives.
