Added TV Shows Not Showing In Latest Shows

Hi, the Latest lists have nothing to do with when content was released. It has everything to do with the date added value in Emby Server which is based on your date added behavior setting in Advanced library settings.

Hi Luke, thanks for bringing this and that's what i thought.

So my folder with my 80 files that i created yesterday was supposed to be in the Latest TV Shows and it's not there. I tried it on a different server, different location, same results.

I tried moving the file away, rescan the library, moved it back into the series folder, rescan the library. The show is in the library, just not under Latest. So i am trying to fix this. But i can't figure it out.

Version 4.8.8.0 on Synology Docker DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5

This Emby server was created 7-8 days ago, on May 30th.

All files added goes into Latest Tv Shows, just not True Blood.

 

Any advice?

Did you check the date added values in for the episodes? You'll find the answer there.

Ok wait a minute....is that the reason??

Ok nevermind, i fixed it with your help. I changed the folder added date as of tomorrow, saved it, put it back as of yesterday and now it appeared.

Yes. Date created timestamp of the file.

Yes as I said with Shows/Series it is about the Episodes not the Series.  Unlike Movies that are one item so the date added applies.  Shows have two level "Show and episode" so you get different results.

So episode has to have new date added to move the Show to the from of the line as your episode screen shows.  Or as I mentioned change the last episode to todays date.

But in the end it sounds like you need to change from file creation date to Scan date so the date added is always the day you added it. @mathbernier
