The same. I can't even play a video, since this app asks me for a premier subscription to play videos. Which is the shame.

Because developing, maintaining and supporting a system like Emby simply isn't free.  We have to charge for some things or none of this will exist.

I guess it all comes down to this.

You should have a disclaimer about the need for Emby Premiere.

Since you are pushing a beta product, that does not work without premier.

I understand that, but why did I pay for the app if I have to pay the subscription too?!

The Premiere requirement for the standard app is probably temporary as we are still working through exactly how we will move forward.

You can still use the Android TV app if you paid to unlock it.
