tomadick 8 Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Hello, I get the following link for a playlist from my Dreambox Sat Receiver: https://192.168.178.29/web/services.m3u?bRef=1%3A7%3A1%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3AFROM%20BOUQUET%20%22userbouquet.favourites.tv%22%20ORDER%20BY%20bouquet When I enter this in emby, I get the error message: "An error occurred while saving the TV Guide data provider. Please make sure it is accessible and try again." If I enter the link in a browser or use the Synology Download Station, for example, the link works perfectly. I can of course download the m3u and read it into emby manually - it works perfectly. However, I would like to use it automatically as a link. Do you have any idea how I could also read it into emby? Thomas

Thomas Do you have your dreambox password in the link when adding it to emby ? default would be root, dreambox unless you changed it. Example https://root:dreambox@192.168.178.29 if you open your link in vlc player does it prompt you to login with a password ?

spaghetti 8 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 After you download your m3u to your desktop open the file as text and check if the port is 8001 and change your link accordingly in emby.

As already written - the m3u works perfectly in emby. I would just like to read it directly in emby from the Dreambox and not have to download and save it manually.
spaghetti 8 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 I just connected a dreambox to my emby server and it works perfect with the link, with and without a password so I don't know why yours won't. If your link plays fine with vlc then it should do the same in emy when added as an m3u unless you have the dreambox plugin installed for vlc on your dreambox and not the http plugin to allow it in http/https. Do you have OScam and tvheadend setup also or no?
spaghetti 8 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 I tried to find my dreambox in the storage no luck must be buried in the back, I did find a box with my old dtv bell and dish boxes loaders jtags unloopers and my smart cards though found my old nexus-s unlocker to pop rom 102's oh the memories, too bad this stuff don't work anymore I still have the satellite dishes on the roof lol. Anyway make sure you don't have port forwarding to dreambox open as they are easily exploitable beyond your imagination, there is even dreambox scanners that find them online from ip block ranges in minutes. My opinion I don't even know why people still use them when you can now run your own iptv portal with every single channel on the planet all for free not everyone knows how to do it I guess but you don't even need to pay for iptv subscriptions. You can even get epg data for every channel on the planet for free on linux or install a linux server inside of windows in minutes and set it up through a terminal. Good luck my friend !! Make sure to disable upnp so you don't auto port forward stuff Everything connected to your modem/router can be hacked easily with an open port including cell phones tablets laptops tv's even your google home and smart home devices baby monitors smart lights cameras people can even hack new fridges and washing machines giving your new LG washing machine a new ssid and stop your clothes from washing
tomadick 8 Posted February 16, 2024 Author Posted February 16, 2024 It is also possible that it is a LAN problem. I have now tried to connect the Dreambox via VUplus Plugin, but I also get the error message.... In addition, only the first channel is recognized when reading the m3u from the Dreambox - all other channels do not appear in Emby. Screenshot and m3u attached, HDplus.m3u

tomadick 8 Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 Hello, I'll check the box later. Can you perhaps say something about the link "https://192.168.178.29/web/services.m3u?bRef=1%3A7%3A1%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3A0%3AFROM%20BOUQUET%20%22userbouquet.favourites.tv%22%20ORDER%20BY%20bouquet"? Emby runs on a Synology DS, the above link shows an error in emby. However, the link can be accessed from the Synology download station, for example, without any problems.

What would you like me to say about it? I have no idea what that url is. It appears like it's a url belonging to some other live tv software on your network.
tomadick 8 Posted February 20, 2024 Author Posted February 20, 2024 Hi, this is a URL to an m3u playlist, as already mentioned above in the first post. The link works perfectly in the browser or in the "Downloadstation" and an m3u is downloaded. In emby "An error occurred while saving the TV Guide data provider. Please make sure it is accessible and try again"

It's probably because all channels in your m3u have the same tvg-id, so Emby thinks they are all the same.
