Clicking a file opens the sidebar

I have some very strange behavior going on in emby after the last day or so.  Not sure what changed but now I can't watch any of my files.  Clicking anything just opens the sidebar.  If I click the gear icon it just opens a search bar.

The video won't be viewable for another 21 minutes.

This happens when I click on any file with both left or right click.

Hi, can you try clearing browsing data? Also if you undock the sidebar, does that resolve it?

Any custom css?

There's no custom CSS. (that I'm aware of)  I'm not sure how you unlock your sidebar.  If you mean the little collapse icon that makes no major changes.  I'll try clearing the browser data.

I cleared the browsing data, restarted my PC and the HTPC server just to be sure.  Anytime I try click anything the sidebar opens even if it's completely hidden.  This only happens on my PC, my iOS devices work with the emby app no problem.

There are three options when you click the button.

If closed clicking open the side drawer.

Locked open

Then docke-mini that should only open when clicked collapse button

So Collapsed, Open, or Docked-Mini,

What browser and version number?

Chrome is up to date
Version 121.0.6167.161 (Official Build) (64-bit)

When the sidebar is pinned open most of the files can be clicked.  It's the other two settings that seem to have issues.

Do you have any controllers other input devices connect to the system?

Does it only happen in Chrome?

As I can only get the mini nav drawer to open by click the Menu button.

I logged into Bing to see if I'd have the same problems.  Issues are the same.  I had a bluetooth mouse which I've turned off.  All other bluetooth controllers were turned off also.

I've confirmed that it's not my computer that's just scrolling left for no reason this is a problem within the emby software somewhere.  I still have this issue does anyone have any clues?

Unfortunately no as I cannot reproduce this in any browser.  Navdrawer only opens when clicking hamburger button from a closed state or when minified.

Is this a touch screen?  As there appears to be something else interacting with display here.

Note all those "visual search" options are the browser itself and you have to or can disable so this do not appear in Emby per their settings menu.

Do you have a racing wheel connected.

Those are know to do weird things.

It's funny you asked.  I do have a sim racing wheel.  But, while troubleshooting (and up till now) I pulled both the powered usb hub and the power cord out of the wall that went to the power brick that runs my rig.  It was the first suspect in my mind.  So there are no physical connections between my PC and my rig right now.

But, you're totally right.  It's probably some of the sim software that's doing this....  But, how to isolate it without a fresh install or uninstalling all of my software.

I feel as if I've just placed myself on a very long road.  It's been so long since I've done a fresh install.  /sigh

I'll check back in a few days or weeks (or longer I'm lazy so sue me) once I finally feel confident pulling this off.  I'm gonna have to back up a lot.

Vibrations near the racing wheel may be causing different paging commands to be sent to Emby resulting in the side menu opening.  This could be just someone touching the wheel hardware, table that it rests on, or even just walking by causing a floor vibration that goes to the racing wheel.

After reading this last response I went and double and triple checked my rig.  I had unplugged the power to the powered USB hub believing that would be enough.  It wasn't.  I unhooked the USB extension cable that runs across the room and BAM.  Issue solved.  You guys are my hero.  That's been driving me nuts for months.
