That doesn't mean I'm opposing it nor advocating against, you know very well from the above linked topic that I was actively suggesting ways to improve it for users that do find it mandatory. I'm just not a fan of software being jack-of-all-trades (master-of-none), I prefer using different apps for different tasks - preferring Emby to serve my media, not curate nor manage it. 1

Luke 42078 Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Here's what's cooking in the pipeline as a way to see all missing episodes in one place. A new section in the metadata manager titled Views: 2
brandon6976 2 Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 I would generally agree that it seems this has become a very important feature for many users. Though I can appreciate bugs happen, however people just want a reliable way to get this data. If there is a manual/different process I'm sure most would be happy to understand what that is (other than going to each show/series and looking for missing episodes with that new feature mentioned above). 2
kbeck 64 Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 +1 missing the Missing Episodes Report..... I mean leaving it there doing nothing is just cruel.
kbeck 64 Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 PS - That Missing Reports in the context menu really blows. It's of no use at all. Can't export. Can't copy. What good is it? None. I stopped using a 3rd party software BECAUSE you had a good Missing Report now it looks like I have to go back not forward.

I see Luke's upcoming feature, which looks promising. However curious what may be an option as a stop/gap.
Luke 42078 Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 What has been added to the metadata editor for the upcoming 4.8.2 server release is equivalent to what you had to the Missing Episodes view in the reports plugin. 1 1
scsherman 2 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 We are now on 4.8.8 and the issue still is not resolved. The Metadata views are nothing like the previous reports plugin, which itself was worse than the previous version of being able to see a list of all missing episodes without clicking all over the place. It is pretty obvious you don't care about this issue and are just slapping together band aids which don't work to try and appease a few of us vocal users that rely on this. I gave it a few months hoping that it would get better, but it hasn't and there is no hope on the horizon. Clearly you must use some other way to track your missing episodes. Please tell me exactly how you do it, like I am 5 years old. I am willing to change to get back what I had. I really wish you guys would stop changing and breaking things that worked perfectly fine previously.

It's far from equivalent. For one, it takes forever to load, and for another, it doesn't allow for grouping by series to make an overall view. This is now the 3rd change since I've started using Emby that has seriously made me consider going back to an older version. What you had before worked. This is all but useless. 1
