TV guide refresh never completes

I think I have the same issue.  green bar for a guide refresh goes about 10-15% across and just sticks.  guide data will not show.

just chiming in on this thread.  latest emby.  docker logs shows nothing weird.  was using a xml file from a local url.  switched to using a local file.  same result.  took forever to load in the xml data but according to the log it finally finished.  can search for episodes and they appear int he search results.  Just the grid shows nothing.  It *acts* like something is there but it's invisible.  I thought it was a display/color issue at first but I don't think so.

It's possible that the xml just doesn't have data for the timeslot that you're looking at in the guide.

I had this issue for some weeks now. Nothing I done seemed to solve it.

My only option was to backup userdata using the legacy backup plugin. Remove the library database file and re add my libraries.

For me this is going to be long time to rebuild as I have a very large media collection. But, I immediately added my M3u and emby guide data and live tv is instant.

I can only assume that using the VirtualTV plugin from an eary beta and a subsequent beta server update which caused this issue originally and I dont think its possible to resolve any other way.

I had issues with virtual TV taking a long time to build the guide as well.

I moved to using ErsatzTV as a Docker on my Unraid setup. I find it reduced the CPU load when generating the guide info, and I can generate more channels reliably. I can;t make week long guides, but it's a trade off i am ok with.

Hi, try switching back and see how things compare with the latest version.

The new one seems pretty fast, and it has some very nice features like being able to use playlists for 'broadcast' order.

I will need to play with it more, create a dozen or so channels with some complex rules to simulate what I had before, but to be fair with being able to use collections much of the rule stuff can by worked around. I suspect that the and or not statements likely slowed things down.
