Ranse 6 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Hello, I am trying to use Folder Sync to back up my media from Emby Debian server to Debian client ( using the app). In download settings , I've chosen the original quality, but for some reason it keeps going to "converting" and then tries to start transfer which takes really long time. Any suggestions ? Thank you.
Luke 42077 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 HI, original quality and original file are two different things. If all you want to do is copy files, then make sure to select original file.

Luke 42077 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 What you've got there in that screenshot will do it. Profile: Original.

Luke 42077 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Let's look at a specific example: How to Report a Problem Thanks.

Luke 42077 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 I mean what example of a file are we focusing on to look at?

I have a "Movies" folder in library, which is mostly 1080p mkv . Not a single file. I am trying to back up Movies folder from library to an external usb HDD on a client.

Chances are, the answer will apply to all of them. So please provide one specific example along with the corresponding emby server log of when that example was converted. Thanks.
Ranse 6 Posted February 6, 2024 Author Posted February 6, 2024 Tried one movie , it says it was downloaded But after checking the client , the file is not there embyserver(1).txt
Luke 42077 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Have we moved onto a different topic now? Is that not related to folder sync? What app did you download it with? What makes you think the file is not there?

Same situation (app server, everything is as described above), instead of full library, I have added one movie to download to "movies-copy" . I can see the file is not there on Client
Luke 42077 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 OK well the server log does not contain any mention of black rain so it doesn't appear to be the right log file. Are you sure this is the log file from when it was processed? If you're not sure, then I would do the same thing with a different file and then provide the emby server log. Thanks.
Ranse 6 Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 Yes, sorry for delay, had work projects. Had to replace the hdd, after that worked without issues. 1
