DVR re-recording episodes already in library when it shouldn't

mine keep re-recording eps of shows that have already been watched and deleted due to [[ Keep up to "30" limit ]] <<example>>  that is set.

when i look at the future schedule it does not show on the list, if i have watched the ep or not.. until it is already recording the show, then I see the green check mark on the Dashboard screen... This is a waste of resource and space.  Is there a plugin or a feature that I am missing?

Edit,  maybe there is a way to only record EPS of a show 1 time, or a selection to allow it to record X many times before it stops recording EPS of a show?

So you want to skip recording previously watched episodes? There is currently no way to do this, but it's certainly doable.
