Live TV Closed Captioning Flickering on v. 1.7.3

Ever since upgrading the server to 4.8.0.80 I have been having an issue with closed captioning being displayed but flickering when watching shows via live tv. This seems to only happen with live tv as other videos that use subtitles display properly without flickering. I have confirmed that this is only related to the Samsung TV app as I have tested it via web browser, Amazon FireTV, Nvidia Shield, and Apple iOS without the flickering issue.

I know you are looking into this and wanted to update the thread and let you know the flickering also occurs with Samsung Client version 1.7.5 using server 4.8.1.0.

Just following up on this issue as it is still rearing its flickering head with Samsung Client 1.8.8 (08/26/2024) on server 4.8.8.0. Has there been any progress made with this issue yet or anything I can do to assist further in helping you pin down this issue?

Hi, it is related to the burn in transcoding of closed captions. We are looking into it. Thanks.
