ab123ga 15 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 2 questions/issues: I added my forum ID and it saved correctly. According to the "release" it noted an email invitation would go out. I Never received an email invitation. Is there something I'm not doing? The invite option shows you can add username/email address. I tried adding my email address and I get an error when trying to save.
bluemonkey07 590 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I believe you don't need to invite yourself to your own server... Just enter your media browser connect username in your server user settings

ab123ga 15 Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Thanks for the respone...Then I'm lost on what I need to do. Per the instructions it says to just add the userID. I did that. No emails but nothing occurs. The URL below the add says to learn more go to URL http://mediabrowser.tv/connect/. This only allows you to sign up but I already have an ID. The URL related to try the hosted web client.. says go to http://app.mediabrowser.tv. I tried that but it noted that I have received no invitations. I'm back to where I started. So I decided to try just adding myself as a guest. Again same forum ID but this one definitely says email will go out. Not sure what the turnaround time is but I've been waiting for almost 10 minutes for that email. Maybe I'm just reading the release wrong so if I am, all on me. However, I read and re-read and just can't see what I'm missing.

Latchmor 584 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Hi, I received an email to confirm my own account on my own server. Double check Spam/Junk folder maybe? I'm on dev releases of the server, maybe the process has slightly changed, not sure...

ebr 16184 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Like I said... You do not get an email when linking your web id to your own server As stated above - yes you do. The link needs to be confirmed via the email. This way you can't connect your server to just anyone's ID.

ebr 16184 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 The initial settings for a guest user are limited but you can modify them just like any other user.
