Possible? 3 users.db files in fresh install of 4.7.14.0 from 4.8.0.80?

I just want the user files, users.db, users.db-shm and users.db-wal so I don't have to reconfigure all my users over again.  4.8.080 has nothing but troubles and is unusable so I just want to revert my two servers to versions that actually worked perfectly a week ago.  If so, are those the only 3 files I need to keep my users and their settings the same as now?

Hi, it's not been tested so the best that I can say is I wouldn't recommend it. I know you're not going to like hearing this but I think your true issue is not related to the server version and is more related to the communication failures between the server and your HDHR.

I have sever 4.7.14.0 running in a portable install on the same machine as 4.8.0.80 but version 4.7 has no libraries, it is just for LiveTV and I have unchecked any future recordings in 4.8.  Version 4.7 is running fine, has made all my recordings since I set it up the other day.  4.8 won't  connect to the tuner consistently in the WEB APP but does occasionally and then just stops, but for some reason it seems to work on the app on my TV perfectly fine. 

Case in point, just now I could tune TCM on 4.8 but not MeTV.  Went into the kitchen and both channels tune perfectly fine on my wife's FireTV from the 4.8 server....so it is not my equipment Luke.  I know you are dealing with a lot and I understand that and it's why I have a workaround in place as you have many fires to put out.  It also gives me a way to test lots of different things that maybe one will give you a piece of information that will help.  All these problems started with beta 4.8.075 and since.  My tuners have always tuned to the stations before that.....just like 4.7.14.0 portable on this machine hasn't missed a beat in the same period 4.8 is nothing but trouble.

Let's find out about those communication failures, if those are not emby then they are because of the proxy I am forced to run.  I have two machines, one brand new with a brand new Ceton card in it and the other machine (beta machine) is almost 10 years old with the same age Ceton card in it.....both machines show those communication errors so it's not hardware. 

If you want to disqualify those errors you should let me be one of your testers for NextTV as I would be the perfect tester since I wouldn't need a proxy to run Ceton cards, I have FIVE Ceton cards, 10 years of experience with them along with the grit and determination to solve any problems no matter what.  I always get emby back on track when it has problems, which is why I am in the beta channel....because I don't give up.  But this issue is related to emby one way or another because I ran WMC until I switched to emby and in all those years it never once skipped, missed, or truncated a recording.

Other people are having trouble with skipped and truncated recordings also.  Earlier this afternoon 4.8  just stopped working while I was in the kitchen with my wife who was watching Lifetime on the emby LiveTV at the time.  Picture froze and I had to back out of the channel,  no other channel would tune, I could open any library of movies or music.  I came into the office.  4.8 had shut itself down completely.  It would not restart.  Kept giving me an error that it could not connect.  I rebooted and it's been working fine ever since.  That is not a tuner communication error.  4.7.14.0 was still running strong all the while making recordings.....still is to this moment, well except for the reboot, but that was because 4.8 just stopped completely

Luke, this issue is not a recording issue, it is a tuner not working properly with completely random and inconsistent activity that started in beta 4.8.0.75 for me, I can't attest to any other betas between that and 4.8.0.71 because on my beta server it jumped from 71 to 75.  On the stable server all was well until it updated to 4.8.0.80.  This is and has been a 4.8 problem since about 10 days ago.  

Servers 4.7.14.0 stabel and 4.7.0.71 work perfectly fine....I am running both in portable installs on both my machines and those work fine.  It is the the 4.8 stream of builds after 71 beta and 4.8.0.80 stable that this is an issue.  The tuners does not work in the web app most of the time but does on the TV apps.  I have been reporting this all week Luke.

This is BECAUSE I have Ceton cards and am forced to use a proxy to have emby see them....but they have worked mostly issue free for 4 years until beta 4.8.0.75 and all builds since for me.
