Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 I was wondering, actually i have been wondering for quite a while, what the various "display" options actually do. The choices i see are: Auto: Desktop: Mobil/tablet: TV: There are some obvious differences like in TV mode the display of and the ability to change favorite status disappears as well as the cog link to settings. I am pretty sure there are a lot of other differences but i cannot seem to locate where they are listed. A link to the correct article is all I really need but an explanation would be much appreciated as well. It is not really important but my curiosity bump is throbbing more than a little. Thanks.
Luke 42079 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Hi, TV mode optimizes the display for 10ft usage with a remote control and gives that use case priority when it comes to all design decisions. Desktop/mobile do the same but prioritizing for a mouse or touch input.

I figured out what you said easily but it seems to do a LOT more than what you say and I think it would be good to know what the differences are, exactly.
Luke 42079 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 There's no way we're going to document all of the differences. I think it's one of those things where you'll just have to try it out.
