4.8.0.80 [bug] Music > Favorite Songs > Wrong Selection

First of all, thanks for developing this amazing software.

Selection of the songs in Favorites section is not done correctly. I choose a song, and it plays another one. A short video of how it's operating is available in the following. This bug was also present in the previous version.

Emby Server Version: 4.8.0.80

Emby Server Platform: Windows 10

Emby Client: tested and malfunctions on both:

  - Samsung Smart TV (model: S90C)

  - Chrome Browser on Windows 11

This issue is still present and I can add that this is also reproducible on desktop browser (Chrome 124.0.6367.156 - Windows 11 x64).

I took a short clip of it and how to reproduce the bug, in the following link.

As it could be seen through the video, if I click on the Play button, it plays correctly, but if I click on the tile, it randomly selects a song to play and this is the issue.

 

Please fix it for the next version.

By the way,

Emby server:  4.8.6.0

Emby for Samsung TV: 1.7.0 and 1.7.9, both faulty

Emby for Windows desktop: Emby Web 4.8.6.0

Browser: Chrome 124.0.6367.156

OS: Windows 11 x64

@LukeI can reproduce this.  Play button on song card plays item while clicking anywhere else on card plays random favorite item. (as demonstrated in video link in above post)

Can u try to reproduce one more thing for this topic. Yesterday i was testing Android app 3.90 as Luke suggested in other topic, went to Music category, scrolled down to favorite Albums, clicked ON Favorite albums TEXT, got to all my Favorited Albums. Clicked on Shuffle, nothing happened, clicked again on shuffle button, Emby server frozen / crashed, no librarys showing and no content showed after shuffle. Needed to completely reboot server to get it working again.

Sorry I currently don't have 3.3.90.  Tested that in .86 and couldn't reproduce.  Waiting on beta signup.

It is updating now are there any condition to the test?  Are there a lot of favorited albums?

Around 15 albums are in favorites.
