I have been updating my media & wveey time I do a metabrefresh of my movies or rv folder, the custom overlays in coverart no longer appear on all the disc cover folders & the movies & tv images I use for my main folder disappear.

It’s always been like this I found.

many betas ago the folder images broke and I took that time to manually add my own library images (and posted them in this forum in case others wanted them -  my son is into digital media design and he created them.).

a metadata refresh wipes them out and teplaced them with the emby default images from the content.  they must be re added manually.

Only if you check the box to replace existing images. Other than that, no, this doesn't happen and it's not normal.

But if you check the box to replace existing images then it is explained right in the dialog that this will happen.

@Luke... sorry. I am only hitting the regresh meta data for the entire movies folder... I'm not clicking an individual movie. Now also the images I'm talking about are the codec and audio icons that are stored in a sub folder in cover art.

OK, let's look at a specific example of one:

@LukeI'm sorry I was hitting the replace images check box. I did a scan without checking the box & the images werent deleted. The only thing you might want to address is the images are also deleted from the folder in cover art when selecting the replace images box. I don't believe that should happen but you know better then I. Thanks again.
