@jaycedkWhat verion is that? It says 23.01 so I don't know what that refers too.  I don't want a beta for this server.

7zip is great - it's my preferred archive program.

@jaycedkThanks that worked but unfortunately it updates to 4.8 before I can even change the settings to prevent updating automatically so I guess I have to disconnect from the internet first.

@pwhodgesOK, finally got the portable version of 4.7.14.0 installed and partially set up to at least have one station show up in the guide and sure enough my LiveTV has a tuner once again.  So I was correct.....emby broke something in the new version.

So devs will surely be able to fix it, with your help by giving them details about the problem ^^

long life to 4.7.14.0... after update to 4.8XXX a function where  users could enter without enter http:// only with "domain.com" was disappear.
I made the mistake of updating thinking for new and better functions but not.  this have multiple problems, forcing us to use https.

4.7 versions works very fine. :(

Result...

Some devices do not allow entering http:// and automatically change it to https:// making it very difficult to log in. Before updating
I did not need to put http://. I only needed to enter the domain, for example domain.com without http://domain.com
and it connected successfully.

How to fix this??

since I am seriously thinking about going back to an older version because the situation is unsustainable.

Thank you very much!!

What devices?  This behaviour has become common in browsers, but can be modified in the settings with a little research.

Reverting to 4.7 requires either a full 4.7 backup which you can reinstall, or a complete rebuild from scratch of the Emby database.

Why not just add https capability to your server?  You already have a domain, and certificates can be got for no extra cost.

Port 8920 is usually https.

If you're looking to use http, use port 8096.
