odeuxcool 8 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 Bonjour à tous.
odeuxcool 8 Posted February 2, 2024 Author Posted February 2, 2024 Hello everyone ! I'm on a Qnap NAS and I'm currently using version 4.7.14.0 of Emby which works very well. I want to deploy version 4.8.0.80 but once installed, it is impossible to access the interface: Connection error systematically refused! I tried LAN and WAN access, port 8920 or 8096 nothing changes! I disabled my firewall and all other security on the NAS, but the result is the same! Can you help me please ?

Edited February 2, 2024 by odeuxcool

Luke 42077 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 HI, you may have configured certain network settings in emby server that are causing this. This may require hand editing the server config file to change this. First, can you please provide the emby server log? Emby Server Data Folder

I thank you for your attention to my request, because indeed, I am really very bothered. I provide you with the server logs which were exported from version 4.7.14 currently back into service. If necessary, I could install version 4.8.0.80 and export the logs to you, but this time I would send them to you by private message because they will not be anonymous embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Quote If necessary, I could install version 4.8.0.80 and export the logs to you That would be best.

I can't really tell from the log. There isn't really any such thing as "incorrect configuration". The answer is that it all depends on your environment, and I don't know your environment.

Server : Up-to-date Qnap NAS server TS-H886 Qts Hero 5.1.4 (latest firmware version) Qfirewall (Tested with filtering disabled) Router: SFR Box with DMZ on the server Firewall inactive Emby: Valid SSL certificate Secure connection mode: required for all external connections Port 8096 and 8920 There are no other particularities You should know that the connection by local or external IP address does not work regardless of the port used Web version and any other inaccessible platform And it's been working like this for over three years now without any problems. I have always updated Emby without problems. And I have always been in premium version Edited February 3, 2024 by odeuxcool
Luke 42077 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 One thing you could do before you update is set Secure Connection Mode to disabled. Maybe 4.8 thinks you're on a remote connection and is rejecting http. It's just a guess. One possibility. Please provide the Emby Server log from 4.8. Thanks.

Thanks. Good morning, I won't hide from you that it really makes me angry to have to go to the trouble of redoing the database when in version 4.7.14 it works perfectly well! Despite everything, I will try, this version is very important for me, but frankly, I really wonder if it is not rather version 4.8 which is bugged

It's not related to the update. Quote What can cause this to happen Typical causes of this are sudden and abrupt terminations of the Emby server process, such as a power loss, operating system crash, force killing the server process, etc. 1

odeuxcool 8 Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 (edited) Hello Luke, Thanks for your feedback, Well the analysis of the database is indeed not good, I am attaching the CSV file of the analysis. I tried the database reconstruction part through an SQL export from the DB Browser software and a re-import into a new database, but it generates an error on the part that is precisely causing a problem. Question : If I provide you with the database file, can you help me rebuild it? Because I can't do the procedure on the command line, I don't have the skills and all my attempts have failed ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've spent so much time with specific tags that it really bothers me to start a new database. And given the improvements that have been made on version 4.8, I cannot afford to stay in version 4.7 Thank you again for your valuable help Integrity Check.csv Edited February 7, 2024 by odeuxcool
Luke 42077 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Did you start with the steps listed in the link I gave you?
odeuxcool 8 Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 (edited) Yes quite. And I'm stuck at this step, because it doesn't include how to proceed with the browser: Edited February 7, 2024 by odeuxcool
Luke 42077 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 What do you mean by browser? You don't do this in a browser, you do it over the command line on the server machine.

This software is called "DB Browser"
