croaton 9 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 @LukeSorry to takeover this Thread, can i normally update from .78 beta to the .80 stable? or is something to watch before to do it, backups native done of complete beta Server Best Regards
rbjtech 5284 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 (edited) Shutdown emby, then do a full backup - using a zip of the entire beta emby folder is the quickest way - then , unzip the 4.8.0.80 system folder over the previous one - replacing all files. Just did it myself without any issues but ensure you have a good backup first (ideally restore it to another folder or disk as a test), just incase but if you were already on .78 beta, nothing has changed other than the release track. ie you will now be on the Release track, leaving Beta. rbjtech 5284 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 I've started a new thread in beta about this - as I guess this may be a frequent request in the next few days https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/125492-how-to-leave-beta-48078-and-move-to-release-48080/#comment-1320476
