jewzilla 0 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Greetings, I am using split tunneling in Mullvad (always enabled) for the EmbyServer. Port forwarding is no longer enabled with Mullvad. Without split tunneling, I am able to view Live TV (IPTV), and my uploaded files (movies/TV shows) locally. Once I add EmbyServer to split tunneling, I am unable to view Live TV (IPTV) locally or remotely. However, I am still able to view my uploaded files (movies/TV shows) remotely and locally. I set up IPTV by storing the m3u files on my C drive, and added it as a TV source. Please let me know if there is some setting I am missing, or if Emby/Mullvad for Live TV do not work. I am able to use Plex/xteve with split tunneling and can view Live TV, but the transcoding can cause some buffering. I was hoping to give Emby a shot. Thank you!
jewzilla 0 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 I have manually set the WAN to what canyouseeme.org sees without Mullvad. Mullvad shows a different WAN than the picture attached. The numbers under all the red boxes are the same.
Luke 42080 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Hi, here are some topics that may have helpful info on Mulllvad:

My subscription expires in April. I will give Emby a shot again then. Thanks!
Luke 42080 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 We have users here running Mullvad. It's not that it won't work, it's that you'll need to figure out how to configure the VPN to do what you want it to do.
jewzilla 0 Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 Yes, but do they use Mullvad and Live TV? The post you sent said Mullvad cannot be configured with Live TV. I am configuring the VPN the exact same way it is configured for Plex.

The 2nd article shows port forwarding, which is no longer supported by mullvad. The 3rd article says Live TV does not work with Mullvad. The user switched to ExpressVPN and had no issues. I will most likely end up switching VPNs once my subscription has ended. It just seems like you didn't read my question or the articles you sent me, and then implied I was doing something incorrectly.
