Changing Where Metadata Are Stored

Hello,

I understand from another topic (

 ) that the metadata on my system are stored at /var/lib/emby/metadata when the library setting "Save artwork into media folders" is un-checked.  What happens if I decide to check this after I already have a tone of media in the library?

1. Does Emby Server remove the metadata and images from /var/lib/emby/metadata and save them into the media folder.

2. Does Emby Server keep copies in BOTH locations.  I.E. The metadata and images ARE NOT removed from /var/lib/emby/metadata.

Hi, please see the help text at the top of the library options dialog. Does that answer your question?

Do you mean this:

Yes, I believe that answers my question.

What I am looking to do is offload files from the Emby Server virtual machine and save them on the Synology NAS where I have more space.
