Bug: Music -> artists -> sort by "Date Played" not working?

I'm using the web interface on Emby 4.7.14.0 running on a QNAP NAS.

When I go to music, and then to the 'Artists' tab, there is an option to sort by 'Date Played'. However when I use this option, the resulting sort seems identical to the normal sort by title.

What I was expecting (and hoping) to get, was a list of my artist ordered by the date I last played any song by that artist.

When I go to 'songs' and sort by 'Date Played' I do get the expected results, so the play date is correctly stored on a song level.

Is this a feature that is simply overlooked/not working? Or am I missing something about how it is supposed to work?

I've just been checking out the new Music options/changes/improvements on Emby 4.8.0.80.

Was the "fix" for this Dated Played sorting issue to remove it completely from everywhere except Songs? 

It doesn't really bother me not having it, as I quite like the new simplicity of the Album Artist/Artist/Composer sorting options now, but was just curious.

BTW - the new Random sorting option is a really nice addition, especially for Albums and Songs. I will likely use this a lot.

HI, for now yes, as it shouldn't have been there to begin with.

I mean to say that it should be something we add, but it shouldn't be in the menu until we actually do that.
