solidsnakex37 55 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 I noticed one of my shows isn't matching TVDB, despite all the correct ID's being entered. Show: https://thetvdb.com/series/kenny-vs-spenny/seasons/official/1#episodes ID: 5224 Emby shows season ID is 5224, which is the same as above. I've refreshed the metadata and replaced it multiple times, removed the item from the library and rescanned it back in, but it's all the wrong order. But as shown below, The ep numbers and names are not what's in TVDB at all? I've never had this issue before where I couldn't correct it, I could always input the ID and it pulls what's shown in TVDB, but in this case, no matter what I do Emby won't map to what is in TVDB.
GrimReaper 4739 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 What is Display order set to in show's Edit metadata dialog, as that appears DVD order of the same show? Kenny vs. Spenny - Unknown - Season 1 - TheTVDB.com

Kenny vs. Spenny - Unknown - Season 1 - TheTVDB.com I didn't know that was an option so that's a big TIL lol But it's set to Aired, though it's showing the DVD order for some reason
GrimReaper 4739 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 (edited) That's odd. How are your files named and organized? Have you tried using Identify on the same show? Are you saving NFOs with media? Edited January 19, 2024 by GrimReaper
solidsnakex37 55 Posted January 19, 2024 Author Posted January 19, 2024 The file names and episode numbering is correct, but it's not in Emby, I've never seen this before. I just tried the Identify option, but that didn't change anything. I can change the display order to Absolute and that does change the order/numbering, but going back to Aired doesn't match TVDB still. My episode numbering matches the air date and are the correct files

solidsnakex37 55 Posted January 19, 2024 Author Posted January 19, 2024 I removed all the .nfo files then refreshed the metadata, but it just replaced the nfo files with the sort title displayed in Emby, thought I'd give that a try
Solution GrimReaper 4739 Posted January 20, 2024 Solution Posted January 20, 2024 Cannot reproduce on 4.7.14.0, setup test environment with your exact naming scheme, getting Aired order scraped. tvshow.nfo season.nfo Kenny vs. Spenny (2003) - S01E01 - Who Can Lose the Most Weight [DVD][MP3 2.0][XviD].nfo Kenny vs. Spenny (2003) - S01E02 - Who Can Stay Awake the Longest [DVD][MP3 2.0][XviD].nfo One thing I did notice is that season 1 External ID is not written, as in your example: 13 hours ago, solidsnakex37 said: What I would try is: 1. Remove show folder form your TV root 2. Run Scan media library to clear db 3. Rename show folder to: Kenny vs. Spenny (2003) [tvdbid=73062] 4. Delete all existing NFOs (tvshow, season, episodes) 5. Put show folder back 6. Scan media library See what gives. 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Yea strange. I couldn't reproduce on 4.8 either.

I wonder if it might have been that I have the folder name as tvdb=73062 and not tvdbid=73062 I will use that format moving forward. I appreciate your help with this! 1 1
