js28194 36 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 First, I am not saying anything is wrong, but I would like to get a better understanding on what I am seeing. I have a remote user and transcoding kicks in perfectly fine using CUDA. So I am curious as to why the interface states CPU usage 24%/AVG 2%? Shouldn't CPU be essentially 0%? ffmpeg-transcode-bf0235ab-6c0a-4080-9665-5558cb4fa3a8_1.txt
Luke 42078 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Hi, no it doesn’t because just because you’re getting hwa for the encoding and decoding doesn’t mean there aren’t other parts of the process handled by the cpu.
js28194 36 Posted January 19, 2024 Author Posted January 19, 2024 Fair enough.... I do see watching Task Manager that FFmepg spikes a bit, but I suppose that is natural computing happening. Thanks. 1
