Foreign TV not detected

Hi team

I have a separate library in Emby for foreign local media which has been working fine. Upon adding a new show today it seems that Emby processes it but doesn't display it in the Library. Here's a log snippet of Emby processing the show:

I have .bif files in the season directory as per my settings so Emby has clearly extracted information from the media files but I can't figure out why Emby doesn't display the show in the library.

Any thoughts?

I can see that the show was not able to be identified by the tvdb so we went to tmdb and that is the first result returned by them with that query.

I've added the show manually on tvdb.com: https://thetvdb.com/series/a-dangerous-boy - How can I get Emby to reprocess the series? I've tried refreshing metadata and re-scan the library but it doesn't come up.

Also: can Emby only add media in libraries if the show exists on tvdb.com? What about manually adding folders to the library as a show? This can become tedious if I have a large library of older localized material .

You can choose the metadata provider in the settings of the specific library (change the preference, and whether they are used at all).  You can change the provider to TMDB (in this case), force an identification (on the three-dot menu for the mis-identified show) and a metadata refresh, lock the metadata for the show, and then change the default provider back again.

But given that TVDB is the best for TV shows, your approach of simply adding the show to TVDB is the best way to go, I'd say (I've done it a number of times myself).  But I think you need to add a poster and the episodes too, or the results will be very disappointing!  It actually doesn't take long once you get into the rhythm of it.  Again, the identify function will be the way to get Emby to recognise it from your new info on TVDB.

How are your files named and organized?

They're sorted according to sonarr best practices. I didn't notice that the show got incorrectly matched and got lost in the library. After sorting the library by newest added I found it and managed to identify it as the correct series.
