PGSSUB Subtitle Position Error

Platform: Linux docker

Version: emby/embyserver:4.8.0.67

CPU: AMD 5600G

GPU: GTX1050

 

Subtitle position error when playing with Emby Web  (This problem appeared after a certain 4.8.0.x beta version)

This is the case for any movie that uses PGSSUB subtitles，other subtitle formats are okay(eg ass,ssa,srt)

 

Subtitle position is correct when using local player

I just tested PGSSUB subtitles in version v4.7.14.0 and everything works fine

Thanks for suggesting a solution. This method does adjust the position of the otherwise incorrect PGS subtitles to the normal position. However, after testing, those PGS subtitles with normal position disappeared after adjustment (probably rendered outside the screen), Jellyfin handles all kinds of PGS subtitle positions very well.

老乡，没必要用英文回复我。

同意你的看法，Jellyfin这方面处理得非常好。

Emby从4.7时代就说4.8会解决字幕问题，结果呢？现在已经是4.9时代了，这个问题还依然存在。

实话实说，付费制的Emby在有些方面还不如开源社区的Jellyfin，例如对AMDGPU的支持，杜比视界转码的支持，还有这么久都没解决的PGS字幕问题。空有一具好看的皮囊罢了。。

是的。要不是因为实在习惯不了Jellyfin的TV端那种海报墙，我早就弃用Emby了。

原来不单单4.8有问题，4.9也有问题，而且是大家都有问题。

不单单PGS字幕有问题，emby对ASS字幕的支持也很差。

之前也提交过问题，根本没解决。楼下的人提到字幕烧录的功能，我在整个emby里都没找到，jellyfin到是有这个功能，可以比较好的解决ASS字幕的问题。

我尝试过plex，ass和特效字幕支持都不错，再这么下去不如转投plex或者用免费的jellyfin了。再继续傻子一样支持emby的正版我感觉自己都有问题了。
