Batch apply tags?

I have created a smart playlist and want episodes to appear that have a certain tag. When I apply the tag to entire shows, or entire seasons, the episodes don't show up in my playlist. However, if I individually apply the tag to each episode, it does appear.

Is there no way to batch apply tags so that they trickle down from parent to child?

Hi, there is no bulk edit feature built into Emby Server, although this is planned for future updates.

Thanks for the info. So just so I understand how Emby works, when I apply a tag to an entire show, or to an entire season, what is happening to each individual episode? Why isn't the smart playlist plugin picking up the episodes?

It gets tagged directly to what you're editing. You won't see it in the metadata editor for the child items, but internally there is an inherited tag mechanism.

Thanks...last question regarding tags.

Once I create a tag, and I go to another item to apply this tag, why doesn't a list of previously created tags populate?

If you're referring to the editor, that's something we plan to improve in future updates. Thanks.

Hi, bulk edit features are planned for future updates. In the meantime, the Bulky plugin may help with this.

i mean auto generate pre mades tags for each content depending of a external source example the movie db has keywords it could be used as tags for emby
