Sorry for the ignorant questions but may I ask

1. What exactly is this plugin for?

2. Why can't I install it from the plugins list in the server settings?

Its a TV Tuner, so it adds as a tv source in Live TV settings.  Its for building your own TV Channels from your own media.  Your own TV Station if you like..

Theres a lot of plugins that are not in Emby's Plugin catalogue.

I fixed several bugs and enhanced the C# TV platform code. You can now add two months of TV data to the TV tuner.  The source code and DLL are attached below.  I have been testing it for three days.

This bug caused the browser to consume to many resources. The corrected code is attached below.

I still have a problem building channels with the code above. I fixed one thing and broke another.  I will fix and test it today. The problem is in optimizations that I put in to make large EPGs compile very quickly.

@hstamasthe plugin is developed and tested based on chromium browsers(Chrome, edge, brave, etc) safari and firefox are not chromium based

For firefox atleast it is a solution to sometimes double click a dropdown menu the same option, so for example you want tv shows, open it twice and select both times tv shows then the page updates and it works
If you do not want to use a different browser like me

FYI this worked for me on Chrome for Mac. Doesnt work in Safari.

I guess if your Mac based this plugin is not for you?

I can create a channel and use the various filters to get what I want but once I save it, I never get any guide data no matter how often I refresh the scheduled task.

Well I'm getting further!

Get this error when I click the save/update button.

@hstamasI just fixed the problem.  For you it's attached below.  I am testing it now.  Let me know if it works. Don't exceed saving more than 1000 movies for the moment. I will expand it to more very shortly.

Attached is the latest code. I fixed the problem with the optimization code that I added.  Now saves are very fast and they wont exhaust your browser resources.

That fixed the issue. I now have a couple working channels.

is there any mechanism in place or planned to keep partially watched content that has already been played previously from filling up “continue watching”?

@hstamasThat issue belongs to the Emby team. I can't do anything about it in my code. My next steps are to finish the bulk edit in the metadata editor and to do more testing. Last night I built a very large EPG and it compiled quickly.

Thanks for all of the help that you have given.

Glad to help. Its nice to have a visual setup when creating channels. A shame about the partial watched status though. I cant see how this will not be an issue for most users and I dont see the Emby team making this a priority.

Best of luck with your future development!

Will do! Like I said, I fully believed this was a permissions issue on my end since it was my first time installing a custom dll on a Synology system. No kidding, I was opening this thread to report it and a fix was already waiting!

Hi can you explain how you installed it on Synology.

Good morning @tvipoliWith Synology you must use SSH and FTP to transfer the PseudoTV plugin into the Emby plugin folder on the Synology NAS. You can find detailed instructions in the Emby forums on how to do this. It's not easy to do. This is why I run Emby outside my Synology NAS on a small form factor (Dell 7040 micro form factor) computer that you can buy for $100 on Ebay.  In this architecture, I can just drag and drop the PseudoTV plugin into the Emby Server plugin directory.

Attached below is the latest code. I fixed the problem with the Scheduled task "Refresh the TV Guide" always resetting the Guide to the beginning. It now works properly. I am going to add some code to allow you to monitor the Guide data.

I also added an image editor to the Metadata editor. Just click on the image to bring it up.  You can also change the image by selecting an image from an external provider.

I still need to add bulk editing to the editor. I will do that soon.

@CharlesFI have attached below two short videos that explain how to build TV channels for the Emby Live TV programming guide. I hope these help you understand better what the PseudoTV plugin does. This project is open source if you want to look at the code.

I am currently working on finishing the bulk metadata edit code in the pseudoTV tool. The code is 90% complete.

Hi Vic!
I haven't had time to troubleshoot my problems with shield pro stuttering yet, but will get back to you with this as soon as possible. I however just tried the latest version and I can't generate my channels that worked before. Please see console log attached when saving channels.

@fillidillSorry for not getting to your reported problem. Family obligations over Thanksgiving have kept me busy. The bug was simple. The code is attached below.

I finished adding the bulk editing capability to the metadata editor.  I only tested it for a few examples.  I also fixed a bug that prevented the EPG build if the first EPG channel was created by using an Emby Query.
