Pseudo TV for Emby

Hello @roofuskitWhen you added a channel to the EPG, did you build a new EPG or append to an old one?

@roofuskitAdding rules to exclude items based on their tags or genres is very possible. I will add your request to the list of things to do once the core code is fully debugged.

@VicMooreThank you for responding. And I really like the plugin. And Kodi media center is a front end program I use that just imports media from Emby. Kodi has a similar program called Pseudolivetv beta but doesn’t work as well as this one. Google searches lead me to your version. The only issue is that it will only play videos from the beginning in Kodi but works fine in emby. It’s probably an issue with Kodi and iptv simple.

@roormongerYes I tried formula filters for studio, genre, plus tag searches. It didn’t like Marvel or DC studios or comics. I ended up just adding the tv shows manually and just didn’t do the movies.

@Lingardpi80I think the problem is in the Emby API.  I need to do some more testing before asking the Emby team to look at it.

You are right about the issue of always starting to play at the beginning of videos. The problem is in Emby and @Luke is working on it.

Let me know if anything doesn't work.

@roormonger a temporary fix for "studios" not working in the formula filter is to use the "search" filter instead.  This filter also allows you to use the * wildcard char.

@VicMoorethat is awesome someone is looking into adding this feature. My emby app for iPhone that feature seems to work. I only had the issue in Kodi. If I fast forwarded the video to close to where it should be. The rest of the channels videos will play one after another in kodi. But I have only been using the app for about a week. And most of that time was spent messing with Kodi settings to get that feature to work. How do you use a wild character? It seems your search worked. I spent 3 days trying to get it to search for marvel movies. Lol

Yes I added it to the current EPG and that's when everything gets scrambled. Names and channels stay but the icons and parental ratings get mixed up.

I used bulky the mass metadata editor to add tags for things to get around that. I couldn't get it to find marvel stuff either.

@roofuskitWhen you add or delete channels, you must create a new EPG because the new channel count and numbers are different than the old ones. I changed the code so that the radio buttons get set properly automatically.

When the core code is solid, I plan to add another filter for ratings and other factors. You comments have been very helpful.

@roormongerThe Studios search is fixed. The problem is that the values field was "comma delimited" rather than "Pipe delimited". In otherwards, it was my problem rather than Emby's.

@mickle026Thanks for your good suggestions.  I plan to add a fourth filter after the core code is better debugged.  It includes tests that include all of the Emby ratings.

Cool. Thanks for working on the plugin so often. It was someone else having the problem, I was just verifying. I think the only filter I have ever used was tags.

I am looking forward to mixed content library support.

@roormonger You can do mixed content now.  Just add the content to the channel.

Thank you so much for such a great addition to Emby. I am having issues adding any TV show content. For some reason, even after re-scanning my TV library, I am unable to see it in PseudoTV under "Libraries". Is there a fix for this? Any help is apprecated.

@andrewtdop and @enrique8316868I must have something wrong in my thinking. I appreciate you pointing this out. When you select "TvSeries" the selection box below it should list all of your Emby libraries that are defined for TV content.   I don't understand how you could be getting "Movies, Concerts and Movies, Collections, and Movie Trailers".  What is the content type for these libraries?

I am not saying that you are wrong. The problem is with me.  I will study this tonight.  I will try to fix this ASAP.

@roormongerforgive my ignorance. I never use the mixed content type and it slipped my mind. I will work on adding it right away.  Is there anything else that I need to look at?

@roormongerBelow is my first try at mixed content. I created a mixed content library and I was able to build Channels OK. Let me know if it works as you expected. Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Once you say it works, I will post the source code.

@andrewtdop and @enrique8316868 attached below is a special version of PseudoTV that will Shead light on your problem. Install the plugin and press F12 to display the browsers console. Next go to any channel and change the Media Type to "Tv Series". Next go to the Browser Console and page to the bottom. At the very bottom of the screen, you should see

I added the "MIXED" media type and many new filters.  These changes will affect only newly created queries.  I have done a minimum of testing.  So, I will fix ASAP any bugs reported.

@andrewtdop and @enrique8316868 have you been able to run the test above that I suggested?  I would really like to solve the problem that you are experiencing.  I need the test results because I have not been able to duplicate your problem. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Hello.  A quick question before I install this plugin.  Is it compatible with Emby's Roku app?

Thanks!

Hello @TTiiMMI don't know if it is or not.  This plugin uses the standard Emby API's, so my guess is that it is compatible with the Roku app.  Give it a try and let me know if it has problems.  I will try to fix them if it does.
