Thumbnail extraction + Dolby Vision

I have a few media items that are 4k dolby vision format

Title4K Dolby Vision HEVC
CodecHEVC
Dolby ProfileProfile 5.0

The thumbail extraction for this comes out purple and green - is there a way for ffmpeg to correctly extract thumbnails for these files?

No because they are DV5 profile files that use a different colour range - emby cannot tonemap these files correctly.  Use a DV8 or DV7 profile (or HDR10/HDR10+ only) - as they will have a HDR10 fallback layer than emby will correctly tonemap.
