Guest Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 As per the title, I take it that ‘instant mix’ will create a music play queue based upon the metadata within an audio file’s tags. But what tags does it examine and how does it work? I have a variety of tags in my files and the mix usually works well, but I am interested in the conventions used in Emby. Also (and apologies if I have missed this somewhere), is there any way of limiting the number of tracks pulled up in a mix, say to 20-25? A playlist queue of 100 + items isn’t so practical. Thanks!

Everything, so genres, artists, tags, etc. It's the same algorithm as more like this for videos. For audio it's going to be primarily driven by genre.
