CityguyUSA 0 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Everytime I try to install Emby I get the following error Image #1 which isn't very helpful. Inside the log I get the following: "Deployment and application do not have matching security zones." Also not incredibly helpful. In my Event Viewer from .net I get: Application: MediaBrowser.Server.Installer.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. application do not have matching security zones." suggested downloading/installing Emby in IE which doesn't exist anymore so I used Edge to try to download Emby and install and I think I got an error regarding the missing .net install. Trying to follow a link to .net 4 I was redirected to a page with .net 7 and 8. I installed 8 but to no avail as Emby still wouldn't install. I removed 8 and found a copy of 4.30319 but it would not install. Details Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is already a part of this operating system. You do not need to install the .NET Framework 4 redistributable. More information. Same or higher version of .NET Framework 4 has already been installed on this computer. Just for fun I installed it on my laptop without a problem. It was installed on my desktop which I use as a server but an unrelated problem resulted in Emby not running and so I attempted to reinstall and here we are.
