Cache / metadata locations

Current locations:
Metadata: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata
Cache Path: E:\cache (previously C:\cache)
Transcoding Temp Path: E:\ (previously C:\cache)

What is this folder used for, default cache path? I see folders / files modified in October but I have never used this path for cache files.
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache

If I change the metadata location to E:\metadata and copy the folder over (restart emby, scan libraries, run scan metadata job) I don't get full movie / show posters just thumbnails.
Does it take some time to update? If I move the location back to default it uses full posters immediately.

After changing the metadata path did you wait for the scheduled task to finish?

I ended up going to each library and refreshing the metadata with the "replace existing images" option.

That kind of worked. The library for TV shows is stuck at 91%. There's a lot of movies that have missing images I'll have to manually fix.
